Artists
There are currently three artists releasing music through Biphonic Records.
Swimmer One
Swimmer One make their experimental pop music in a studio next to an art gallery on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Difficult to categorise, and not fitting into any ‘scene’, their music has been compared to everyone from the Pet Shop Boys and the Associates to the Blue Nile and the Who. To date Swimmer One have released two albums on Biphonic Records - The Regional Variations and Dead Orchestras - and three limited edition singles - two on Biphonic Records (We Just Make Music For Ourselves and Come On, Let’s Go!) and one on London’s Dogbox Records (Largs Hum/Cloudbusting-Lovesong). The band’s website is at www.swimmerone.co.uk, or you can follow them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/swimmerone.
Luxury Car
Luxury Car are John and Willy Robertson, two brothers from Perth, Scotland, who have been in bands together since they were at school. The name is a homage to Vincent Gallo’s Buffalo 66, which is sampled on the closing track of the band’s debut album. Luxury Car have released two albums on Biphonic Records, Annie’s Well and When I Was Good. The band’s website is at www.idriveluxurycars.co.uk or you can follow them on Facebook at

Seafieldroad
Seafieldroad is a side project by Andrew from Swimmer One. A debut album, There Are No Maps For This Part Of The City - produced by Hamish from Swimmer One and featuring songs co-written with Laura from Swimmer One - was released in November 2010 on Biphonic Records. A follow-up, simply called Seafieldroad, will follow on November 2011. Follow Seafieldroad on Facebook at www.facebook.com/seafieldroad
